How StrobeFilter™ Works

Unlike standard screen dimmers that just lower overall brightness, StrobeFilter™ is a dynamic, low-latency background service. It continuously analyzes screen output using real-time luminance tracking.

When a sudden, aggressive brightness spike is detected, an invisible overlay instantly clamps the brightness down, releasing it smoothly once the visual transient passes. It requires zero user interaction and does not cause input lag during gaming or heavy processing tasks.

A lightweight ghosted background service

StrobeFilter™ is not a heavy application that bogs down your PC. It is a lightweight, ghosted background service that runs silently while you sleep, watch, or game.

The overlay is topmost, layered, and click-through, so the filter can dim the screen without stealing your mouse, blocking gameplay, or trapping the desktop under a full-screen window.

Envelope following plus strobe-lock logic

The detector compares brightness against a rolling baseline, watches for sudden luminance deltas, and holds harder when repeated flash intervals verify a true strobe pattern. Normal bright desktops should settle back to the baseline instead of being punished for staying bright.

Quick Start

  1. Download the current Windows executable.
  2. Open the StrobeFilter™ executable.
  3. Press Start to arm the real-time visual limiter.
  4. Use screen brightness baseline if your desktop needs a calmer normal level.
  5. Turn on advanced strobe tuning only when you want stronger verified-strobe clamping.
  6. Use demo recording mode only when you want screen capture software to see the overlay for product videos.
